# Helix 1.4.0: Consistent ctx.http defaults

> Plain `ctx.http` calls now enforce HTTPS-only and disable automatic redirects, matching the rest of the SDK.

- Released: 30 Sept 2026 (2026-09-30)
- Packages: @trayai/helix-sdk@1.4.0

## Headline changes

### Changed: Plain `ctx.http` calls now share the same `https:`-only and no-auto-redirect behavior as…

Previously, plain `ctx.http` calls used different default settings than other HTTP helpers in the SDK. Starting in 1.4.0, all `ctx.http` requests enforce HTTPS-only connections and do not follow redirects automatically. If your functions rely on HTTP URLs or automatic redirect-following through `ctx.http`, you will need to update those calls. This brings `ctx.http` in line with the behavior you already see elsewhere in the SDK, reducing surprises and improving security by default.
