A CSM wants to leave a line for the next person: “champion left in June”, “pricing call booked”. So you’ll add notes, plus a job that pulls the list from Salesforce every morning. Every Helix app comes with a database and scheduled functions, so there’s nothing to set up.
Add notes
Add a note to each renewal, saved in the app's database by Salesforce Account ID. Add a notes column to the table that opens a small editor, and record who last edited each note and when.
Add a note, reload, and it’s still there. On your machine, notes last until the app restarts; once deployed, they persist. They live in the app’s own database, so Salesforce doesn’t change.
Refresh every morning
Right now every page load queries Salesforce. Pull the list once a day and serve it from the database instead.
Add a scheduled function that runs at 06:00 every weekday, New York time. It runs the same Salesforce query and saves the list with a "refreshed at" time. Serve the page from the saved list, fall back to Salesforce if nothing is saved yet, and show the "refreshed at" time on the page. Log how many accounts it saved.
Change the time and time zone to suit your team. Scheduled functions only run once the app is deployed, so the fallback keeps the page working on your machine until then.
